Rules of the House

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and PGverse, operated by PG Association, Noida ("Company", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the PGverse platform, including:

• The website at pgverse.in and all subdomains
• The PGverse mobile application (iOS and Android)
• WhatsApp-based services offered under the PGverse brand
• Any APIs, widgets, or tools integrated with third-party services

By clicking "I Agree", submitting a form, registering an account, or simply using the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

To use PGverse, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a resident of India or a foreign national legally residing in India
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Indian law
• Not be barred from using our services under any applicable law

If you are using PGverse on behalf of an organisation (e.g., a company booking PGs for employees), you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You May

• Browse PG listings and filter by area, budget, type, and amenities
• Submit enquiry forms to request a PG visit or callback
• Create an account and manage your PG profile as a resident
• Pay rent, raise maintenance tickets, and access community features
• List your PG as a verified owner on our platform

You Must Not

• Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information at any point
• Use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce any content or listings from PGverse without permission
• Attempt to bypass authentication, access other accounts, or exploit security vulnerabilities
• Use PGverse for any commercial purpose other than managing or finding a PG
• Post or distribute spam, malware, or any unlawful content
• Impersonate PGverse staff, PG owners, or other users

As a tenant or resident using PGverse, you agree to:

• Provide accurate personal details when requesting a PG visit or booking
• Understand that PGverse acts as a facilitator — the actual tenancy agreement is between you and the PG owner directly
• Comply with the house rules of the PG you reside in
• Not misuse the maintenance ticketing system for non-genuine complaints
• Not share your login credentials with other persons
• Pay rent on time as per the agreed schedule with your PG owner
• Provide at least 30 days' notice before vacating, as required by most PG agreements

PGverse is not responsible for disputes arising from your direct tenancy agreement with a PG owner. However, we provide a grievance escalation mechanism — contact [email protected] for assistance.

If you list a PG on PGverse, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your property — location, amenities, pricing, photos, and availability
• Keep your listing updated within 7 days of any change in pricing, availability, or facilities
• Respond to tenant enquiries within 24 hours during working days
• Maintain the PG in compliance with local municipal and safety regulations
• Not list a property that you do not own or have authority to rent
• Not charge tenants any amount beyond what is listed on your PGverse profile without prior disclosure
• Cooperate with PGverse's periodic verification process

PGverse reserves the right to delist any PG that fails to meet our verification standards, receives persistent negative feedback, or violates any of these terms — without prior notice.

For Tenants

• Browsing PGverse and requesting a visit is completely free
• Online rent payments attract a convenience fee (if applicable), which is disclosed before each transaction
• Failed or disputed payments are handled per our Refund Policy

For PG Owners

• PGverse offers a free listing tier and premium paid plans (see Pricing page)
• Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually, as chosen at the time of purchase
• Platform commission on facilitated bookings (if applicable) is disclosed separately
• Refunds on subscription plans are governed by our Refund Policy

All content on PGverse — including the brand name, logo, website design, PG listing data, photographs, text, and software — is the intellectual property of PG Association, Noida or its licensors, protected under Indian copyright and trademark law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content from PGverse without our explicit written permission. Unauthorised use will result in legal action.

By submitting content to PGverse (e.g., PG photos, reviews), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and use that content on our platform.

PGverse is a marketplace and facilitation platform. We connect tenants with PG owners but are not a party to the tenancy agreement between them. Accordingly:

• We are not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or condition of any listed PG
• We are not liable for disputes between tenants and PG owners arising from the tenancy
• We are not responsible for inaccuracies in listings where the owner has provided false information
• Our maximum liability in any matter shall not exceed the amount paid by you to PGverse in the 3 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Either party may terminate the use of PGverse at any time:

• By You: Delete your account from settings, or email [email protected]. Deletion is processed within 30 days.
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law — without prior notice or liability.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Sections relating to IP, liability, and governing law survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of PGverse shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), Uttar Pradesh, India.

Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
